I had -5.75 and I got LASIK surgery with the “Zioptix” laser (it’s supposed to be more accurate). I found the surgery to be one of the scariest experiences of my life but I would definitely do it again. You will see clearly IMMEDIATELY after the surgery but your vision will be clouded…that sounds weird but it’s the only way I can explain it. It was extremely painful for me in the hours afterward, but it goes away pretty quickly. I’ve also been told that others didn’t really feel a thing, so maybe it depends on your prescription. You might experience halos around lights for a little while after but that also goes away (usually). If they ask if you want a valium, take it. They’ll also give you some of the numbing eye drops that they use right after…if your eyes are in a lot of pain, use them. That’s pretty much all the advice I can give!! Hope you decide to do it, one of the best decisions of my life! Melly Belly
