The chances of you getting lasik when your eyes get pass -8 decreases. Though, I have read stories of people with -9 with bad astigmatism getting successful Lasik surgery. I've had Lasik done. My eyes were both at -7 with mild to moderate astigmatism. I now see 20/20. There are Lasik places that will check your eyes for free to see if you are eligible. I went to Lasik Plus. Do A LOT of research on your doctor. Go to the usaeyes website. It is a non-profit website that helps people decide if lasik is right for them. I am not sure as to why.
