hzattari asked:
why is one not recommended to do phacoemulsification instead of lasik. that would solve all lens and number problems once and for all

Pakhi Pardesi asked: I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 8, but since then my eyesight has gotten worse repeatedly. I had an eye exam like 4 months ago and got a new perscription and then new glasses, but I’m seeing blurry again. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, but I don’t want to go BLIND! Am I worrying too much, or CAN I go blind, because I spend most of my day on the computer or watching television?
So I was wondering, can your eyesight completely fix itself somehow, without Lasik? If not, why? And how would you go about improving it?

Can someone tell me more about nystagmus and how it can be treated? Can a near-sighted person with nystagmus undergo laser surgery? Thanks!

Hessam asked:
I have lasik’ed my eyes about a month ago, but still, my right eye sees things in double, in a way that each thing (far or near) has a slight shadow to its right side). as the distance grows, so does the distance between the thing and its shadow. Is this condition temporary or constant? why has it happened (as it wasn’t like this at the beginning) and does it require special concern or treatment?

locqua asked: I had Lasik done 2 1/2 years ago - I’d like to wear colored contacts for Halloween. Will I risk tearing my flap?
Prior to Lasik I was a contact user for 15 years, so I feel confident I can insert and remove the contact as carefully as possible.

marissa g asked:
so i have an astigmatism in my right eye, and my sight is jacked up in that one eye. i have a hard time with putting in contacts, idky, and i was wondering about lasik.
does anyone know how much it costs? and if getting the laser kind is some kind of hassel compared to getting the one were they cut your eye with a knife(which is never going to happen to my eye)? and isnt there something different if your dealing with an astigmatism?
