I’ve got astigmatism and myopia with a diffirent prescription in each eye but I really want a pair of cosmetic contacts for a cosplay I’m planning on doing (plus they’ll be awesome just to have).

I see the nonprescription contacts are always cheaper, so I was wondering if it’s safe to just get those? I only ask because I know the vision problems are caused by oddly shaped eyes.

If anyone could tell me or link me to more info I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

I am thinking about getting lasik surgery. I have been told that I am a good candidate by my eye doctor. But, I worry about the effectiveness. I have astigmatism and very dry eyes when I wear contacts. Any advice?

Houston, who do you recommend for lasik vision correction for astigmatism? What is the approximate cost?

I have very poor vision and I have a very bad astigmatism. I seem to remember my optician telling me that it would be a waste to have Lasik? Can someone tell me why?

I really want to have LASIK eye surgery sometime in the future because I have really bad eyes. But here’s the problem: my eyes are REALLY light/motion sensitive. I actually couldn’t put in contacts because the sensitivity in my eyes was so bad! I’ve heard that you have to stay awake during the LASIK surgery, but is it possible to be able to sleep during it instead?
Also; does having astigmatism affect the LASIK surgery in any way? Like, is it more expensive or longer or anything?
Thank you! Your help is appreciated

How reliable is LASIK for someone who’s eyes may not be done changing?

I’ve been thinking about LASIK, but I have astigmatism; also while the changes in my eyes have been slowing down a lot with age (29 years old), I’m sure my prescription will need to be stronger again in a few years. What are my options? Does LASIK make sense, or will I just need surgery again in a few years?

I have an approx. -19 correction for both eyes. I have an astigmatism. I also have a possibility of getting glaucoma.
I have talked to my Dr. and he said that Lasik surgery would not be an option for me. What other surgeries could fix my eyes?

Can laser eye surgery be done to correct vision on people who have astigmatism? ?
