Is there a way to tell if someone has had lasik?

lasik
Chris asked:

I hurd that to be a pilot in the military you have to have good uncorrected eyesight. But what if you had lasik and not tell them? How could they find out? I haven’t had lasik and don’t wear glasses but my eyesight is poor.Anyway, can they tell if you had lasik by checking your eyes or do they check your record? Wait, does it go on your record that you had Lasik?

I don’t think it would go on your record bc technically it isn’t a medical procedure, I think it is more so considered almost like a plastic surgery type thing.

But my little brother had it, and he said that his eye doctor couldn’t tell, and that was after looking at his eyes during a thorough check up. Julie

Yes, you can easily tell if someone has had lasik eye surgery.

    You cannot hide getting lasik.

NOTE: you are allowed to apply for flight school in the Air Force, having had PRK eye surgery ( not lasik ) jeeper_peeper321

You are able to tell it will be a question when talkin to the recruiter. To be a fighter pilot you cannot have had eye surgery because there is no telling how well your eye would stand against the g’s you pull. however you are able to be a heavy pilot stuff like c-130s still. malorie
