Is it possible to wear contacts after a lasik surgery?
RawR™ asked:
as weird as it sounds, i like wearing contacts but my vision is so bad(-6.5) that it annoys me and i want to have permanent clear sight. so is it possible to wear contacts(colored) even after a lasik surgery? or do the contacts have to be non-prescripted??

Not wanting to be negative or rain on your parade…but with -6.50 LASIK is unlikely to correct your vision to no prescription at all - so I guess, YES, you will probably and can still wear contact lenses a month or so after your last session of LASIK (it will take a couple of sessions to do your eyes). You might want to read further about LASIK and speak to an ophthalmologist who has no association to LASIK to get the facts. In fact, many top ophthalmologists don’t recommend LASIK at all or only for very low levels of refractive error. Some call it a money making scheme. The long term effects are unknown and many people are finding the benefit of LASIK wearing off. I was very keen on having LASIK about a year ago until I asked around saw a few different Dr’s who were independent from the very eager LASIK clinic and I did a lot of research on google. I found that strangely the ‘experts’ out there are not over excited about LASIK at all and recommend other options for surgery like artificial lens inplantation for permanent guaranteed vision improvement. yea i’ve heard of ppl doing that!! As far as your eye sight getting bad again, there is no permenent way of fixing getting your eyesight fixed, however if your lucky your eyesight wont get bad again!! Although you will want to check with your optometrist just in case i’m wrong, or if anybody that gives you an answer are wrong!! Best of luck!! girl4God
