How much did you pay for your dogs cherry eye surgery?
samakāmitā asked:
My dog (engl. Bulldog) has a cherry eye and I would like to know how much most of the people paid. I have two estimates and for some reason they are both soooooooooooooo different (in price)…. I am just curious. Thank you.
My dog had it happen before and it was fixed, but I did not have to pay for it (the breeder still did). I have 2 estimates and they differ almost $1000

it costs about $300.00 because you have to pay for blood work, anesthesia, the cherry eye surgery, and a recovery room so that should equal up to $300. tell your bulldog i said hi and good luck with the cherry eye

my english bulldogs cherry eye surgery was around $300, but it didn’t even work. it popped back again. the vet said it may. she said i could leave it, it turns black and gets smaller and i dont even notice it anymore and it doesn’t bother him at all. he is 3 and he had the surgery when he was one. it came back within a month of surgery.

We just had one done on a chihuahua and it was only $70.
Forget the one who gave you the higher price. Like I said we just had one done and it was only abt $70. Not sure exactly. She got a rabies shot and some eye ointment and the total bill was $79. You are getting robbed.

Sorry my answer is in Euros - I paid 70 euros and the vet did both eyes as he said there were signs that my dog would have a problem with the other eye, this included aftercare.
There are different types of surgery, my vet opted to remove the gland as he said that if you should push it back in the problem was likely to reoccur.

My dachshunds do not suffer from cherry eye, but I suffer from red eyes caused by the lack of sleep that they cause me…
