How many foreigners have had lasik eye surgery in Turkey? And why do they do it there?
Allan D the Na’vi asked:
Is it that cheaper?

Is it that cheaper?
And btw, what can you tell me about the ACIBADEM HEALTCARE HOSPITAL?
I would appreciate opinions by people that have been there.
Thanks

the techniques are improved and operations are cheap cause they’re practiced widely… similar to rhinoplasty in turkey. i heard it is very much improved in turkey than other countries cause it is a common operation here.. and of course doctors are skilled
in both operations the results are very good. i’m going to have a lasik eye surgery too.
acıbadem hospitals are famous for the professional health care. my aunt had an operation there, other than lasik eye, but i can say they are very good at healthcare, altough it is a private hospital therefore more expensive. there is dünya göz hastanesi also, only for ophthalmology. they have centers in europe ( and in belgium). you see the prices here;
these are private hospitals, but it’s not hard to guess that the prices are lower than the prices in europe. iph

If I am not wrong, I think Dunya Goz Hastanesi is the number 1 place for lasik operations.
(Choose English from the flag, let some time pass for the page with the map to close)
It is a good hospital specialized on eyes.
There are many people who come from abroad for eye operations. Why? It is clean, and cheaper than Europe or U.S.
Don’t confide any doctor with your eyes anywhere in the world without obtaining solid information about that specific doctor.
Acibadem Hastanesi is a good hospital. Clean, neat and comfortable. Not very cheap. But not unreasonably expensive.
They are not specialized in eyes only. It is for all kinds of health problems. amada

please make sure you get the tests required to prove you are a perfect candidate for the operation including eye dryness (preferably in your own country) before undergoing LASIK eye surgery. and if you are, then discuss the side effects with your surgeon thoroughly.
i’m not gonna say more not to confuse you but if what your eye prescription is like only mild myopia, i wouldn’t recommend it.
in addition to those hospitals mentioned, also check out Istanbul Cerrahi Hastanesi and Dr.Sinan Göker. he is a renowned surgeon specifically in this area. bLazE
