The technology has advanced so much that its now possible to predict the outcome even before laser is done. The pre op Diagnostic Procedures are called as orbscan and abberometry. Lasik procedure takes just 10 mins for both the eyes and you can resume normal activities within 24 hrs. The only disadvantage is the cost of the procedure , but this can be over come when u have the procedure done in countries like India which have very good laser centers and Ophthalmologists. It was expensive, but it worked and now I can see. My eyes were really bad before that. I had to have eye surgery a couple of years before that to correct strabismus (lazy eye). I had it done.
