Has corrective eye surgery stood the test of time?

There are many who are getting rid of glasses and going in for corrective eye surgery.How long has this surgery been in operation and will it stand the tet of time.Or should we stick to glasses the proven way for centuries

not yet , we don’t have a documented outcome of surgeries after 20 years , we still don’t know the outcome on the long run .
