Kicking K asked:

My 18 month old Shar-pei has just had surgery and he looks so much better….but one bottom eye lid has been pulled down a little further than the other eye…does anyone know if slowly it will lift back up a bit to match the other?

Do you corrective as in the cherry eye. When the tear duct turns outward? My bulldog had the cherry eye the second day we brought him home, so we had to schedule surgey for him so they can re attatch it. It took a couple months before his eye matched the other side. Make sur you have a follow up appointment with the vet, and ask him if what you are seeing is normal and if it will return back to original position. Hope this helped! :)

if it is due to swelling then yes it should eventually go down and match the other. If the Dr. didn’t cut them to the same length then no. the important thing is that he will no longer be uncomfortable
