Does a cataract grow back after removed by Lasik?

I had cataracts removed by Lasik 6 yeare ago, To day I went to my Md. Dr. He thinks I have one growing in one eye.

    I think you are mistaken or confused. Cataracts cannot be removed by LASIK. LASIK treats refractive errors-i.e., if you need glasses or contact lenses to see clearly, LASIK eliminates this need.

    A cataract is a clouding on the natural crystalline lens inside your eye. Generally, though not always, getting a cataract is a consquence of the aging process. Removing a cataract means extracting the clouded lens from the eye, and replacing it with an artificial lens. It has little to do with the LASIK procedure.

    If you are developing a cataract, you will have to get it removed at some point.
