moodibunni asked: I woke up having trouble to open my eyes. Each time I fall asleep, I wake up with excessive eye mucus sticking all my eyelashes and lids together. One of my eyelid is a little swollen and when I poke around on the bottom, its a little sore and irritated. My eye is not red at all though, so I’m unsure of the problem.

Rene asked: i think i have something called floaters, its an eye problem where i see a very small black dot everywhere. Iv’e been reading about it and im planning on going to see my optometrist, but while im sitting here on yahoo answers i’d like to know if anyone has this condition or knows anything about it; like treatment or prognosis. thanx!
i never knew it was that common lol, no it doesnt hurt at all and i only notice when i focus on it…i just wanted some more info thats all. has anyone ever seen an optometrist for it? thanx for your responses
frenchtraveler thanx for your great answer. im almost positive they’re floaters though because like you said as well…this dot follows gravity most of the time and it does “float”.

I heard that a cataract is a preventable disease. Now that I already have it, is it too late for me to do anything to get rid of it without eye surgery?
Is there any alternative medicine for treating cataracts?
