How can I help my cat with swollen irritated eye problem? Can’t go to vet?

Above his eye appears to be swollen. He is acting sleepy but restless. He just keeps trying to clean the eye. It seems like he might have a problem with one of his eyelids. Help!

An ulcer in a cats eye, question about surgery?

My mothers 1yr old ragdoll cat has an ulcer in his left eye. 3 weeks ago they had to have it sewn shut so it would heal, just wondering if anyone else has had to do this for their cat and if the surgery (eye closing) was successful and how the cat was afterwards? She is getting the eye opened today but was just curious how many cats go thru this.
