British military policy regarding laser eye surgery?

eye surgery
Adam asked:

What exactly is the British military’s policy regarding laser eye surgery?

I’d like to join the Parachute Regiment, but I want to have laser eye surgery before I join up. Is having laser eye surgery a no go, or do you have to wait a certain amount of time after having it before joining up etc?

I’m confused as some people say they wont let you in if you have it, others say it doesn’t make a difference, also people in the military can get discounts on laser eye surgery etc.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
