This is an easy one. But before I tell you who & where consider a few questions. Do you want a place with lots of doctors so THEY decide who does the work, & maybe its an intern? Do you want a place where you pick because of fabulous results but cant guarantee you will get same doc even though its the same place? Do you even want to care what price is when this is your precious eyes & many many years? Do you want a place with awesome brochures & ads or awesome skills? Do you want a place that doesn't just own the top of the line newest equipment, but actually uses it? I went to a place that is owned & operated by ONE doctor. That doctor not only buys the best most expensive equipment but also uses it even on the so called "easy" jobs, and HE was on the ground floor developing it & giving speeches to others on the best methods with it. I did tons of research before I got my eyes done and narrowed it down to 2 places in the USA. I am not rich but my eyes are priceless so cost was not an issue in deciding where & who. Of those 2 places only one had just one doctor which guaranteed me that he would be the only one doing the work. I live in Colorado. His building is in Appleton Wisconsin. He is Dr. Alexander of the Alexander Eye Institute. He has the Allegretto equipment because he believes that it is better to spend the money & effort on first procedure than have to do touch ups years later. He even did PRK on me with that equipment even though no one else does it that way & he didn't do lasik because he felt I would be better with PRK even though that meant he had to refund me $600. PRK painful? HA! so they say but not with Dr. Alexander. NOW, for my advice on healing. SUPER SUPER important is what your enviroment is. I stayed in Iowa afterwards for several months because they have high humidity & that was major difference. Colorado is way to dry & when I came back to Colorado it was like going backwards as far as eyedrops, dryness, etc. So here I am 2 years later & I have yet to hear from anyone who got PRK who had less pain than me or healed to perfect vision faster. ANyone at least that didn't go to Dr. A. I am also STILL better than 20/20 vision & I am over 40yrs old. Perfect near & far. Check it out, search the web, read his papers. Hands down the best & not even anyone close in 2nd. If thats not enough, you should visit the office & see the THOUSANDS of not just thank you cards but THANK YOU THANK THANKYOU cards from all over the world. Seriously he has done so many that they probably have 6-8 albums stuffed with the cards & then still more posted in each room and many from abroad. I think he charges about $5000, just in case you're wondering.

LASIK eye surgery is now so common that millions of people have decided that it was time to abandon their corrective lenses, once and for all. There are so many LASIK clinics that you're likely to find one close by, no matter where you live.

LASIK eye surgery can perform miracles - it can give you relief from wearing corrective lenses. It can cure nearsightedness, astigmatism and farsightedness. The procedure is quick and painless, offering almost immediate results. And due to advances in technology and the wide demand for this type of service, LASIK is quite economical.

Check out Dr. Robert Maloney at maloneyvision.com he does many of the FDA trials and teaches many doctors around the world. Celebrities and royalty form around the world fly in to see him regularly with their corrective vision needs. I do not work for him, but I have toured his office and a lot of our patients from our practice have seen him for many different kinds of surgery. Through his web site he can refer you to the best places in your area and they also have a copy of his best selling book online that teaches you the best questions to ask an eye surgeon when you are looking for a good one for your own individual case. It is good info. Good luck!

Look up Hoopes Vision Center in Utah.
They've won all sorts of awards.
I had HORRIBLE vision before I went to them and now I have 20/15 (better than 20/20)
