Samian’s Eighteenth Account asked: As I understand it, LASIK involves cutting a flap out of your corneal layer (which can fold out again - *scary*!). However, PRK doesn’t involve any cutting, but “re-shapes” the eye with lasers.
So are there any advantages to LASIK over PRK which makes the former so much more well-known and popular? Why doesn’t everyone get PRK instead of LASIK?

I haven’t had lasik and don’t wear glasses but my eyesight is poor.Anyway, can they tell if you had lasik by checking your eyes or do they check your record? Wait, does it go on your record that you had Lasik?

Hot dog!!!…….. asked: I’m an Indian. I wear spectacles and want to remove my spects if possible. I saw an article about Lasik Laser which is a better and safe option for spectacle removal. But I want to atleast know about the side effects of Lasik Laser both short term and long term….
