momtotrenton asked: I had Lasik surgery 2 days ago and I am seeing much better. However it is not a good as it was with contacts. My perscription was -9 and I had intralace. I can still see well but I mainly notice it when I am driving. I don’t seem to see the highway signs as fast as I usually did. Will it get better?

Test asked: If you get a Lasik surgery and you need to wear glasses again after a few years, can you wear contacts?
I know Lasik is supposed to give you 20/20 but I heard some people had to wear glasses again after a few years. probably because their vision at the time of Lasik wasn’t stable.

event.horizon asked: Like the flap that is created with traditional bladed lasik. Does it exist with intralase? Because I am aware of the problem of the flap in bladed lasik never healing and being able to be dislodged under certain circumstances in the future and I am wondering if intralade bladeless lasik has the same flap concerns.

Mel D asked: I am thinking about getting lasik surgery. I want to go in for a consultation but i am a little apprehensive about the whole thing. What exactly do they do during the consultation-like what tests do you have to get on your eyes, etc. Does going for a consultation mean you have to get the surgery?

taylor222 asked: I want to get lasik but Im afraid my vision isn’t bad enough. I have -2.00 in both eyes and -.25 astigmatism. I wear contacts but i get sick of putting them in and taking them out everyday and not being able to fall asleep watching tv and not being able to see the clock when I wake up. Would I be a good candidate for it? I have still have to wait though b/c even though im old enough my eyes haven’t stablized yet.

Peter M asked: Hi. I was wondering what the general symptoms are for people who have had corrective laser eye surgery and whom were long sighted. I hear for short -sighted people their vision is near 20/20 almost immediately, whereas long-sighted people it takes a lot longer after the operation to get full vision clarity back. Is this the case?
So when do long-sighted people generally get the deisred level of vision after the operation? ! day, 1 week, 1 month?
I hear for long-sighted people who have it, it can be anything up to 12 months.
