Jeremy S asked:
My dad is getting laser eye surgery to correct his vision, and I told him to let me try and find the best place for him to have it done. He heard that the University of Miami had a good center for it, but one of his clients said that her employers practice had fixed a lot of patients from the UM center.
Anyone who has had the procedure, or an expert in the field, please offer insight. We are located in South Florida, but travel isn’t too big of a deal within the country.

Alex asked:
I had a ptosis surgery on my eye lid and it’s been 6 weeks since the surgery. The swelling was supposed to go down two weeks after the surgery, but obviously it didn’t. I have a big lump over my eye and it looks really creepy! My doctor said that ice really doesn’t help later then 48 hours after surgery. I was wondering if there was any other technique anyone had? I just started school so that’s why I want it to go away! Thanx!

I really don’t like wearing my glasses and normal contact lenses really dont work well for me. Bearing in mind safety, cost and results, which is the better option? laser eye surgery, ICL (implantable contact lenses) or just leave it?

Yasmin H asked: Most people who have it done, notice that their eyesight still gradually deteriorates slowly.
And scientists don’t yet know if there are any long term side affects, as the surgery hasn’t been around very long. It’s difficult to know whether you would still have perfect vision when you are into your 60’s.
Has there been any scientific study, to suggest that laser eye surgery may not be as safe as everyone thinks it is?

AG asked:
My 8 year old tabby cat has sadly been diagnosed with eye cancer and will have to lose his eye. The veterinarian told my sister the surgery would range from 700 to 1000 dollars! Is this typical? Living in the bay area is pricey but that seems like a lot to remove an eye.

Anonymous asked:
I had laser eye surgery approx 2 years ago with perfect results and my vision has been great until a few months ago i started seeing starbursts/halos and glare around lights and bright things like road signs. Worse at night but noticeable during the day also. Could this be due to my surgery still?? Im a 20 year old male with good health.
